By agreeing to install or using the RemoteXs application or any of the other proprietary software applications or services we provide, and when you visit our websites (all of which are referred to collectively herein as the "RemoteXs Applications") you accept this Privacy Policy. This policy may change from time to time. We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use at any time. Non-material changes and clarifications will take effect immediately and are up-to-date here without special mentioning. If we make any material changes to the policy in the future with regard to how we use your information, we will notify you on our homepage or in our email newsletters or application updates.

The RemoteXs Applications are owned and operated by Eclat Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (referred to herein as "we," "us," "our," or "RemoteXs”), which has developed applications and services for use in connection with a variety of Operating Systems, devices and platforms, including without limitation, Android, iOS, Windows Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and other mobile devices and computers.

Information that is collected by us

Private Information

Private Information may include, your email address, self-created profile and password. This information is considered personally identifiable and will not be displayed openly on our website. But same may be required to use our application.

Profile Information

Profile information may include, but is not limited to, member-submitted information such as your username, password, first name, gender, age, geographic location, institution and photo. Much of this information is optional. This information helps us to personalize your RemoteXs experience.

If you choose to share any content with another person, we will ask you to provide a valid email address or contact information for that person. We may also ask you to provide your username and password for third party websites in order to access the articles and information published on such sites.

Statistical Information

Your email address, login details and IP address are recognised by our servers and the pages, URLs, titles and content of the web pages and other information that you visit or save to RemoteXs are recorded. For example, to provide content syncing features, we sync information about the items that you save and view within RemoteXs so that your content may be synced across all of your devices.

In addition to the above methods, we may also collect information using cookies or other technologies. We use the information we collect to organise and improve our services.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from young people under the age of 13 without consent from their parent or guardian to comply with Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and if we learn that we have unintentionally done so, we will promptly delete it.

We do, however, use collected information in order to learn which features are the most popular and thereby improve our service and deliver custom advertisements to you. We also record statistical information collected on our application to better understand our audience; and to tell you about other of our services.

Friends or Contacts e-mail addresses

If a User elects to use our "Invite" feature to invite a friend or contact for becoming a User of the RemoteXs Applications, we ask for the friend's email address and our system will automatically send the friend or contact an email inviting to join the site. Our system will store this email address for the purpose of automatically adding the respondent to the friends or contacts list of the Member sending the invitation, and also to send reminders of the invitation.

Disclosure of information

We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in very limited circumstances as described below:

Sharing of information reasonably necessary to offer the service

We may provide information to service providers to help us bring you the services we offer; We may have to use third parties to facilitate our business, such as:

• To host the service at a co-location facility for servers;
• To send out email updates about our service;
• To remove repetitive information from our user lists;
• To process payments for products or services;

In connection with these offerings and business operations, our service providers may have access to your personal information for use for a limited time in connection with these business activities. Where we utilize third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections limiting the use of that information to the RemoteXs Applications specified purposes.

We may offer stores or provide services jointly with other companies or institutions or organisations on our application. You can tell when another company is involved in any store or service provided on RemoteXs Applications, and we may share customer information with that company in connection with your use of that store or service.

If you choose to subscribe to our paid services, our third-party service providers will collect and handle your credit card and payment related information. Such third-party service providers use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Disclosure to Government authorities

We are subject to the law like everyone else. We may be required to give information to legal authorities pursuant to lawful requests if they have the proper authorization or a court order. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or copyright violation or other illegal activity perpetrated through the RemoteXs Applications service or use of name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, institutions, lawyers, agents, publishers or government agencies.

Use of information we gather

We use certain profile information such as your university/ organization, first name, gender, geographic location, subject interests and other information for searching and matching purposes. Profile information you submit to us will be available to users of RemoteXs Applications who belong to at least one of the networks you allow to access the information through your privacy settings [e.g., institution, geography, friends of friends, more]. Your name, school name, and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search results across the RemoteXs Applications network unless you alter your privacy settings.

We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by us that we think you may find valuable or which you have signed up or personalized services that better match your needs and interests.

We may use your profile information to maintain our accounts. We may use your name and email address to enable us to answer your enquiries. We may use the information provided by you to verify your identity for security purposes.

Control of privacy and change of information

You exercise control over what information you place in your profile, including contact or personal information, pictures etc. The information in your profile will be accessible and shown only to those people or members chosen by you through the settings on the RemoteXs Applications. You may modify or remove any of your personal or profile information, pictures etc. at any time by logging into your account.

Security and protection of information

Our system uses industry standard measures and takes every precaution towards security and protection of the information of the Members that is stored on our servers and within our database. We apply similar practices for safety of information collected from other users of our applications. Your account information is located on a secured server behind a firewall. We limit the access to this information only to those of our employees who need access to perform their job function such as our customer service personnel.

To protect you from phishing attacks we do not and will not, at any time, request your username, password, credit card information or national identification number in an unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we therefore, cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.
